 Mondolingua regularly carries out complex translation projects in behalf of well-known companies,
sometimes into as many as 10 languages simultaneously, regardless of whether it involves multilingual localizations of voluminous print media (technical documentation, manuals, prospectuses, etc.) or ambitious Web portals and/or control software for complex devices.
Mondolingua relies on modern Internet technology to support its client projects.
In doing so, innovative ideas based on experience are further developed into new methods again and again.
They help make the organization of particular customer localization projects more efficient, centralized, and location-independent. Some examples:
- Mondolingua was able to successfully transfer a similar principle to a large European business group. Within a few weeks, Mondolingua established an online platform as a hub for the administration and exchange of multilingual text content.
- Mondolingua reorganized the print media creation process together with the existing DTP service provider partners of the customer (on an Adobe InDesign / XML basis). Thus, a powerful, flexible, central, and very cost-effective principle for the production of localized print media arose. The principle is scalable in many other languages and can also serve other applications as a source for localized texts, e.g., for reports, documentation, Web applications, etc. The customer is now in the position of producing localized print media from a central location yet flexible enough so that all content can be created independently of location and in online cooperation.
- Ein ähnliches Prinzip konnte Mondolingua erfolgreich auf einen großen europäischen Handelskonzern übertragen. Mondolingua richtete innerhalb weniger Wochen eine online Plattform als Drehscheibe für die Verwaltung und den Austausch von mehrsprachigen Textinhalten ein.
- Mondolingua re-organisierte den Printmedien-Erstellungsprozess zusammen mit den bestehenden DTP-Dienstleistungspartnern des Kunden (auf Adobe Indesign / XML Basis). So entstand in kurzer Zeit ein leistungsfähiges, flexibles, zentrales und sehr kostengünstiges Prinzip zur Produktion von lokalisierten Printmedien. Das Prinzip ist beliebig in viele weitere Sprachen skalierbar und kann auch anderen Anwendungen als Quelle für lokalisierte Texte dienen. (z.B. für Berichte, Dokumentationen, Webapplikationen, etc..). Der Kunde ist nun in der Lage zentral lokalisierte Printmedien zu produzieren, jedoch so flexibel, dass alle Inhalte ortsunabhängig und in online Kooperation erzeugt werden können.
- For a well-known biotechnology company in Salzburg, Mondolingua developed an online project management method for (globally distributed) virtual translation teams for the localization of manuals with many pages and specialized software/firmware in as many as five languages.
- On one hand, this method had to meet the high text quality standards of medical and analytical devices supported by software; on the other hand, it had to be flexible enough to procure sufficient translator capacities worldwide if required.
Fortunately, this method proved itself very well and made it possible to achieve good results with complicated languages, e.g., Russian and Chinese.
